Second Hand Machines

New in ProLace Version
10 years ago in October 2001 AllCAD presented the first ProLace at the ITMA in Singapore. Now 10 years later ProLace is well known as one of the most powerful systems on the market, but the development continues and we make it step by step more powerful and easy to use.
The new Version 4.5 offers again many amazing features for the Designer and Puncher.
Construction aids with new features

PARALLEL – Parallel line
The PARALLEL command becomes more tolerant in case of very pointed corners and it gets many new features, which can be defined in a new menu.

Now modes “Select” and “Through”

In the Select mode you define the parallel offset and then select manually the side to offset. In the Through mode you can define the point, through which the parallel line must be laid.

Additional modes “To the right”, “To the left” and “Both sides”

In the To the right mode the parallel polyline will be constructed on the right side of the entity. In the To the left mode the parallel polyline will be constructed on the left side of the entity. In the Both sides mode the parallel polyline will be constructed on both sides of the entity.
New option “Number”

The option Number allows you to define the number of parallel polylines you want to produce.

If the Number of polylines is > 1 you can define the parallel distance of the first and the last polyline.

New option “Layer”
This option allows you to define the destination Layer for the parallel polyline.

JOIN – Join polylines

Also the JOIN command got new features, which can be defined in a menu:

New option “Multiple”
If activated you can join more than just two polylines in one step.
New option “Copy”
If activated the original poylines will not be modified and the resulting joined polyline will be a new object.
New option “Offset”
If Offset is activated you can define a parallel distance for the joined polyline.

New option “Layer”
If Copy is activated you can define a destination Layer for the new polyline.

PLEDIT > Join – Join polylines

Polylines can now be joined even if they are not exactly connected.

BORDER – Boundary of a closed area

The command got a new menu with the option Select boundary included and is easier to use.
If Select boundary is activated you have to choose first the entities, which should be considered for a bound area, then you click into the area.
New option “Layer”
This option allows you to define the Layer for the boundary.

MOVE, COPY – Moving or copying objects

You can now define the displacement as number of repeats what can be very convenient in case of Alternate Color designs.

CHAINC, CHAIN2P – Arrange objects along a polyline

Now you can define the starting point and the endpoint of the area on a polyline where the objects should be arranged.

PATFILL – Fill area with a pattern

New option “Match”
This option allows you to match the pattern to the actual repeat so that it continues in the repeat without interruption.
The pattern on the left has Match Off,

the one on the right has Match On.

AUXLIN – Auxiliary lines

Option “Divide”
You can define the start and endpoint of an section on a polyline which you want to divide.
New option “Allover”
This option allows you to define parts A, B and C of an Allover interactively.

COPYALOV – Copy allover

The command can be controlled with a new menu.
If an allover is already defined by the
AUXLIN command, COPYALOV uses directly the values of this calculation.
New option “Number”
This option allows you to define how many copies of part B you want to make.
New option “Mirror”
You can define if the B parts have to be mirrored or not.

Automatic stitches with new features

Also many new valuable and stunning features have been added to existing commands.

GGEFLECT, BLATTSTI - Geflect and Blattstitch

Farmer with Center Line Option
The farmer effect with Center Line got a new Option, to define if the effect will be applied only on the center line or on the whole object.

New option “Shadow”
This new option enables you to fill simple areas with shadows. Even objects with one simple island are supported.

Pattern defined with No. of Stitches

For the pattern, defined with No. of Stitches per column also the Shift and Alternate parameters are available now.

Pattern defined with Intersection lines
The maximum stitch length can be defined. This prevents too long stitches on fancy patterns.

Pattern defined with Intersection lines
The maximum stitch length can be defined. This prevents too long stitches on fancy patterns.

  PGEFLECT – Parallel Geflect

If you use No. of stitches per column you can control the stitch pattern with the additional parameters Shift and Alternate.
In the example on the left side is Shift = 2 and Alternate = 1.

  GEDGE – Definable Edge

The stitch picture is now like the SEDGE – Single Edge and not like the BLATT – Blattstitch.

  GUNDER – Underlay for Blattstitch

The underlays are now defined on an accurate parallel polyline what results in more accurate stitches.

New option “Shuttle pull compensation”

Shuttle pull compensation is now also available for this underlay type und moves the stitches more outside of a curve.

New option “Invert”
With this option you can define that the underlay starts at the end of the blattstitch and not at the start as usual.

Additional modes “Inside”, “Outside” and “Both sides”
This option enables you to control on which side you want to have the underlay.

PAILLET - Sequins

Before you can insert Sequins you must define every Sequin which you want to use in a particular design. A Sequin can have a circular shape or the shape of a regular polygon. If you change a parameter of a particular Sequin, all affected Sequins in the design will be updated automatically.
Now the following Sequin attachments are supported:

  • Attachments for Saurer and Plauen machines which use a free machine function.

  • Full support of Lässer Sequins with up to 3 different Sequin types per design.

  • Support of Tajima and Micro Sequins.

 MODIFY – Modify embroidery effects

It is now possible to define the affected parameters if the Apply to objects option is used to copy parameters to other objects.

In the example on the left side only the Density and Stitch length of a Blattstitch are applied to other Blattstitch objects.

What else?

This is not yet all! There are still many other features coming along with this new release. Below you get a brief description of some of them.

  • With  COPYREP (copy repeat) can you now also delete the right and left repeat and define if you want to copy one or two repeats.

  • The Rubber band does not erase the image below the design anymore, because the screen will be refreshed automatically. The refresh rate can be defined with the variable amd_rbrefcnt.

  • All activities of a design session are registered in the file C:\Icad.log. This file is useful in case of system problems and can be passed to me along with a problem report.

  • The Crosshair (Cursor) can show now the position of all needles. This can help to find the proper position for hangers in color change designs.

  • In punching mode you got a new machine independent Thread Cut function.
