Commands |

ARC3P Design of a single arc object |
With the command ARC3P you can construct a single arc object defined with 3 points. |
LENGTHEN Change length of polylines, lines and arcs |
The LENGTHEN command allows you to change the length of open-ended entities. You can lengthen a line, polyline, and an arc. The new length can be defined dynamically, incrementally, in percentage terms or you can specify the desired length directly. |
VPORT Divides the screen in 2 windows |
The VPORT command allows you to divide the editing window in two independent windows. Both windows can contain a different view of the same design. This command can be used to show the whole design in one window and to punch in the other window. It is also possible to work in both windows. |
CUNDER Underlayer on Edge or polyline objects |
With the command CUNDER you can construct underlayers on Edge objects or polyline objects. Up to 5 layers n can be generated. This new underlayer type allows you also to compensate the shuttle pull. Its parameters like stitch length and number of layers can be modified with the MODIFY command. |
DELPUNCH Delete punch |
| With the command DELPUNCH you can remove all manually punched objects and functions in a specific section. This feature is useful, if you have to re-punch a design completely or if you mirror a punched sequence, which has to be re-punched again.
RESET Reset Registry and clean orphans |
| With the command RESET you can:
The option Registry resets all setting of ProArt/ProLace like the toolbars, menus, drawing aids, etc. to their default values. This can help if ProArt/ProLace behaves strange.
If you erase embroidery objects without using the DELEMB command, orphan objects, which belonged to the erased objects, might remain in the design. These orphans sometimes cannot be erased anymore. The option Object allows you now to clean these objects, so that they can be used again.

Commands
with new features |
| Also many new valuable and stunning features have been added to existing commands. |
STEP Step stitch object
New Option Shuttle pull compensation This option controls the shuttle pull compensation comp for step stitches. If on, the step stitches will be laid outside of a polyarc and not directly on a polyarc. The displacement can be defined.
| New Option Bean With the option Bean you can now directly produce beans with a definable number of stitches. It is not necessary to make modules anymore and like for other automatic stitches the size and the number of stitches per bean can be modified later.
SEDGE, DEDGE Single Edge and Double Edge commands
Improved stitching in corners and curves The stitch pattern is strongly improved in corners and narrow curves. The stitch endpoints are now always on the boundary.
BLATTSTI and GEFLECT Blattstitch and Geflect objects
New easy way to define the farmer effect Up to now the farmer effect could be defined in percent of the total stitch length, or with polylines specifying the random area. A new and very simple method becomes available now: The farmer effect can be defined with a single center line to
specify the overlapping area, and the minimum and maximum value the stitches must overlap the center line. The effect can be single sided with one side delimited by an area boundary or it can be double sided for the inner part of the effect. In this way multiple areas can be defined. Improved stitch pattern for farmer effect The previous version of the farmer effect did not consider the neighboring effect. Now it is guaranteed for cloned objects or objects, which are using the same inclination lines and the same stitch density that the endpoints are always between the stitches of the neighboring effect. This reduces dramatically the danger of thread cuts. More even stitch picture
One side of a blattstitch or geflect had always a different density as the other side. This was mainly visible on pointed leave. You had to be compensated this effect by specifying a different density on each side of the effect or by defining the effect in two parts. Now ProLace compensates this effect resulting in a more even stitch picture.
| New Option Select to define Inclination Lines Inclination lines, which were already inserted by the designer to specify the stitch direction, can now be selected by the puncher and dont have to be designed again.
DOT, STAR and FNODE Dot, Star and French Node objects
New option No. of stitches This option enables you to specify the number of corners respectively stitches of a dot object. Before was it only possible to specify the density, what resulted often in an unpredictable amount of stitches.
UNDER - Underlayers
Option Form turns for Chemical Underlayers Via the new option Form turns, which is available for Chemical Underlayers is it possible to construct also the turns around the outlines of the blattstitch. . |
Standard underlayer outside or outside and inside With the new option Both sides you can define if an underlayer will be generated on the outer part of the blattstitch only or at the outer and inner part. he Standard Underlayer has also changed. It is now inserted on the start side of the blattstich only and it recognizes corners. |
MODULE Stitch pattern along a polyline
Modules are now treated as automatic stitches and can be modified with the MODIFY command. You can change the size and the start & endpoints on the guideline. Also the module itself can be replaced by another module. |
MODIFY - Editing of objects
Change stitch type The already existing possibility of changing the stitch type of a certain effect was widely extended.. . |
| Option Replace for functions This option enables you to replace an existing function with another function. Zoom and Pan in all menus The options Zoom, Pan and Highlight previous are now available in the menu to modify functions and automatic stitches and not only in the menu to modify manually punched turns. Option Edit for Text objects If you select a Text object, you get the option Edit in the menu, which allows you to modify the selected text and its parameters.
TURNS - Punching
Mirroring and Scaling of Groups Now you can also insert mirrored and scaled groups on punching. . |
| New Option Empty stitches This new option allows you to insert a certain number of empty stitches (stitches without move) in the design. Connection with Start A connection with the start function is not possible anymore. So if you select an already punched object, the system will refuse to connect in order to prevent a dead lock.

What
else? |
| This is not yet all! There are still many other features coming along with this new release. Below you get a brief description of some of them. - Support of the Hiraoka VDT format, which is used by the Hiraoka Pentamat machines of the new generation.
- If you use the command COPYREP in punching mode, you can choose weather you want to copy the design or the punch to the repeat.
- WIGGLE objects dont start on the centerline anymore, so they can be used now for legs of chemical lace connections.
- The corners of single sided ZUCHOLE objects improved.
- With the new variables amd_arcdist and amd_arcrad you can optimize how step-stitches and underlayers are shortened in narrow curves.
amd_arcdist specifies the minimum stitch length of step-stitches and underlayers and amd_arcrad defines the radius when stitches start to be shortened. - All 256 colors can be used now for automatic stitches.
- The command DENSITY allows now to change the stitch length of step stitches and underlayers in the whole design or in a selected section.
- The command ERASE deletes now all entities of an automatic effect, even if only the guideline was selected.
- The system is more tolerant when you use grips. It does not immediately create a corner. This result in more even stitch patterns for edges and underlayers.
- You get a new Toolbar to enter numbers and colors.
- Frequently used numeric values can be selected from menus and dont have to be entered manually.
- Zoom commands are ignored by the Undo function.
- The image is now always in the background, also without the use of the DRAWORDER command.
- The nasty problem with the starting point of polylines after the use of Grips is solved.
- The actual selection is now visible also after a Zoom.
- DELEMB works now much faster.
