New in ProLace Version 2.
The available command set of ProArt & ProLace 2.5 are still same, but many new features are introduced for existing commands and automatic stitches.

Feature list

Arrange any group of objects along a polyline with CHAIN2P and CHAINC commands

In the predecessor versions was it only possible to arrange blocks along a polyline, which were already available in the library.

Now it is possible to arrange any part of the design along a polyline by just selecting the desired objects. Also already punched parts of the design can be selected and arranged along a polyline.


Number of layers can be defined for step stitches

The step stitch function could only arrange stitches along a curve. If you wanted to go back along the same curve, you had to punch it manually.

Now with the new option No. of layers you can define how many layers of stepstitches should be laid on a curve.

Regular pattern without intersection lines

For geflect and blattstitch objects is a new and easier way available to define regular patterns.

The pattern can be defined just by the direction of the pattern. No intersection lines for straight patterns are necessary anymore.

Overstitching with percent and fixed value

In previous version could you only define the percentage of overstitching. This resulted frequently in to much overstitching.

Now you can still define the percentage, but also a maximum fixed value of overstitching. This means, you can e.g. define 10% overstitching, with a maximum overstitch length of 1mm.

Inclination lines can be added or removed

For blattstitch or gefelct objects is it possible now to insert or remove inclination lines without redefining the whole effect.

Perform parameters changes for more than one object

The modification of parameters like stitch density, color, stitches yes or no, effect width etc. can be performed in one single step for all objects of a design or for a number of selected objects.

In this way is it possible now to change for example the stitch density of all blattstitches of a design or to change the width of all edges of a design in one single step.

In the previous versions you had to make these changes for each single object.

Stitch points are now visible on punching or when you make modifications

On punching, when you created a stitch longer than the maximum stitch length, you could not see the division points immediately.

Or if you created for example a gefelct, you could also not see the stitch points respectively the pattern of the effect immediately. You had to pick the object first to get the green stitch points.

Now with the new blipmode you can see the points directly after having created an object or when you are editing an object.

Needle On at the next punched point after Borer Off
After Borer Off, the needle was switched on directly after the shuttle movement. Now the needle is also switched on after the shuttle movement, but at the next punched point.
In this way is it not necessary anymore to move the borer back before you switch the borer off.
What else?

This is not yet all! There are still many other features coming along with this release. Below you get a brief description of them.

  • Now you can define the needle off color (by default grey). Punched objects with needle off get this color also in case of color change designs.

  • The maximum stitch length for Needle Off and Needle On can be different now. On punching the value will change automatically when you switch the needle.

  • When you are writing embroidery data you can first check the design with the option Test functions only. In case that the system detects a problem, it sets a mark on the affected point in the design. This feature makes the detection of punching problems much easier.

  • The color of the left and right repeat can be defined.

  • Floating is now standard for blattstitch and geflect inclination lines.

  • Sequences are now supported in MST mode.
